Role Summary: The M&E Expert will design and implement systems for tracking performance and impact of CRIM’s programs and projects. Also, will support the institute’s M&E technical advisory, capacity building, training and research services. They will support learning and adaptive management. The expert will also lead M&E-focused training courses and contribute to evaluation-based research and publications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop MEL frameworks and indicators.
  • Design data collection and evaluation tools.
  • Analyze project data and produce impact reports.
  • Train staff and partners on MEL systems.
  • Conduct capacity building on evidence-based programming.
  • Deliver professional development courses on monitoring and evaluation.
  • Lead production of M&E learning products, evaluation reports, and knowledge briefs.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in M&E, Statistics, Development Studies, or related field (PhD is a plus).
  • 3+ years’ experience in M&E for climate/environment programs.
  • Skills in data visualization, statistical software, and report writing.
  • Experience with East African development projects is desirable.
